Together we fought to lower the cost of health insurance for patients by advocating for health insurance public options, bridge plans for lower income people, or Medicaid buy-in programs in Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico and Oregon. We worked to lower the cost of prescription drugs by establishing a prescription drug affordability board in Colorado, and expanded the authority of the Maryland PDAB to cover all Marylanders. We battled to rein in insurance company abuses by supporting health insurance reforms in Illinois, and combated medical debt by supporting debt reforms in Virginia and ground ambulance billing reforms in Oregon. Nationally we supported lowering drug prices and keeping Affordable Care Act marketplace plans affordable through passing the Inflation Reduction Act.
We continue to work to make health care affordable and available to all, and support science and medical research for treatments and cures. Take action and join us!
